Florida Vocational Rehabilitation

Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a federal-state program that helps people who have disabilities get or keep a job. They aim to be the first place people with disabilities turn when seeking employment and a top resource for employers needing qualified employees. VR’s counselors are dedicated to helping adults with disabilities find and maintain employment while enhancing their independence.

Programs They Offer

Hearing Loss Support and Guidance

Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf/blind services in the workplace, as well as guidance on how to cope with hearing loss.

Ticket to Work

A Social Security Administration program is available to those who qualify for social security benefits. Tickets are issued for access to employment and rehabilitation services necessary to secure and retain employment.

Independent Living

Promotes independence - including a philosophy of consumer control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, and individual and systems advocacy.

Supported Employment

This program is for those who require ongoing support services to succeed in competitive employment.
